The 100 Black Men of Jackson continues to fulfill its mission of uplift, guidance, and community support—one young man at a time. Recently, Attorney Joe Tatum, a dedicated mentor within our organization, stepped in to ensure that one of our Provine High School mentees had the tools he needed to succeed both on and off the field.
Attorney Tatum met with Amaris Forbes, a student-athlete who plays for the Provine High School baseball team, and his mother at a local sporting goods store to purchase essential baseball equipment the family was unable to afford. This simple yet powerful act reflects the core principles of our mentoring program—providing resources, encouragement, and opportunities that help young men grow into their full potential.
Moments like these strengthen our community and showcase the real impact of mentorship. We are proud to highlight the dedication of mentors like Attorney Tatum and the drive of students like Amaris as they pursue excellence.
The 100 Black Men of Jackson remains committed to supporting our youth through mentorship, leadership development, and positive engagement. Together, we change lives.
